Microsoft Opens Up New €134 Million Campus In Dublin

The new campus will house 2,000 employees and mark the completion of just under three years of construction.

Microsoft today opened its new campus in Dublin, Ireland, completing a project that took more than two years to build. Called One Microsoft Place, the Leopardstown campus, worth 134 million euros, today welcomes 2,000 employees of 71 nationalities in Microsoft's sales, engineering and operations teams.

The building covers a total of 34,000 square meters and, interestingly, contains no office. According to a survey of the new Raidió Teilifís Éireann (RTE) area, the Irish national public station, the space was built to encourage teams to sit together in "neighborhoods". These are supported by more than 80 meeting rooms, "focus group" rooms and a theater-like technology center with capacity for 3,000 people.

Speaking to RTE, Microsoft's chief executive for Ireland, Cathriona Hallahan, represented the cultural shift that Microsoft has seen since Satya Nadella took office as CEO.

Benefits for employees include a gym, a yoga studio, a nail bar, a massage room and a "fully equipped music room," according to RTE. Microsoft Ireland also boasts that the many restaurants on campus serve food from around the world.

Microsoft Corporation Cleans House and Finds New Project

Microsoft is an American Multinational Technology Company that manufactures, develops, and sell computer software and services. Significant changes to their marketing department will cost 4,000 jobs.

Since taking charge of the business sales team late last year, Althoff has been openly critical of past sale approaches staff. according to one of his memos. He noted a planned move toward customizing approaches to Azure Stack sales. These plans would undergo a reorganization, which would impact sales and marketing teams as the company doubles down on its fast-growing cloud business.
